Friends of Contraband Cinema

Atlanta Film Festival
Now in its fourth decade, the Atlanta Film Festival—one of only two-dozen Academy Award qualifying festivals in the U.S.—is the area’s preeminent celebration of cinema.
Enjoy The Film
Enjoy the Film celebrates the history, artistry and technology of motion picture presentations and is curated by Ben Ruder. Keep up to date with Atlanta's rare 35mm screenings including SPLATTER CINEMA and Emory Cinematheque.
Film Love
The Film Love series provides access to great but rarely-screened films, and promotes awareness of the rich history of experimental and avant-garde filmmaking. Curated by Andy Ditzler.
FLEX Fest
We are FLEX, the Florida Experimental Film/Video Festival, and we are Florida's only film festival devoted to works of avant-garde/experimental/underground cinema. In addition to our annual festival, which takes place every February, we program events and screenings year round in Gainesville, FL as well as occasional touring programs of work from the annual festival.
Mechanical Eye Microcinema
We are a mobile Microcinema. Our location will change each month (please check the schedule for locations). Thanks to the local businesses and organizations that host our screenings!
Other Cinema
Other Cinema is a long-standing bastion of experimental film, video, and performance in San Francisco's Mission District. We are inspired and sustained by the ongoing practice of fine-art filmmaking, as well as engaged essay and documentary forms. But OC also embraces marginalized genres like "orphan" industrial films, home movies, ethnography, and exploitation, as media-archeological core-samples, and blows against consensus reality and the sterility of museum culture.
Other Zine
OtherZine is the semi-annual ‘zine of Other Cinema, the long-standing bastion of experimental film, video, and performance in San Francisco’s Mission District.
Y'allywood Film Festival
The 2014 Y’allywood Film Festival and Southern Filmmakers Summit will bring independent filmmakers from throughout the southeast together in an effort to conceptualize and define New Southern Cinema.
